Galatians 4
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Faith-based programs have a proven track record of success...
With over 2 million Americans in prisons and 650,000 returning to neighborhoods each year, the opportunities for faith-based and community organizations to serve people affected by the criminal justice system has never been greater. Prison officials are increasingly turning to the faith community as partners because they recognize the truth of what research studies have said for some time – Faith belief positively influences offender rehabilitation. Faith leadership and volunteers offer relationships based on love and accountability and help offenders’ develop a moral compass that enables them to navigate the challenges of prison life and reentry.
Unfortunately, many current prison programs avoid any discussion of faith and morality and are reluctant to partner with faith-based groups. Job training and education alone cannot produce the changed heart that leads to lasting transformation in an offender’s life. For some inmates, such programs devoid of Faith merely make them more effective criminals. These programs cannot break the power of evil, which is the root of crime, in offenders’ lives, nor can they effectively shift offenders’ focus from their own needs and desires to the people around them. Helping Ex-Prisoners Reconnect to Life
 The Planning for Success weekly planner / journal is designed to help returning prisoners organize their Life. One of the most import components for successful reentry is having a plan in place and the ability to manage time effectively planning ahead will help the returning prisoner to stay focused on goals and objectives. The Planner also directs the returning prisoner to identify with community resources Faith-based organizations, support groups, housing services, employment training, transportation, food / clothing, health services.
